I have been delighted with all the work that William Kirk has done for me in restoring antique furniture and family treasures.  He knows his job and does it with great charm. I have recommended him to friends and would do so again.  Sarah Gore Langton

I was so happy to find  William Kirk Restoration – we were given a very lovely table by my mother in law a while ago which we use daily – suffice to say it has been "loving used" and needed  TLC. William came round and the result was totally amazing, we are thrilled. It looks like it did 15 years ago. Wonderful service and amazing result. Could not be happier.  Nicole Robinson

William has done a lot of work for us giving my old furniture a new lease of life. He did an especially good job on water damage on an inlaid chest of drawers. He is totally trustworthy and charming and I would highly recommend him.  Rosy Squire

William did a fantastic job repairing a nasty dent on a much loved family heirloom. The item was completely restored to an impressively high standard and at a reasonable price too. I highly recommend his services.  Alex Clabburn

William restored a burr walnut folding antique chess board for me - the board was very warped, cracked, discoloured, had some veneer missing and 2 of the feet had cracked. When I came to pick it up I really couldn’t believe my eyes - the piece had been totally transformed and all the degradation had been repaired and the natural beauty of the wood polished to perfection. The 2 cracked feet had been replaced and I could not see any difference in the replacements to the originals. William had obviously gone above and beyond in the work that had been done to this and I am very grateful for the beautiful end result.  James Barshall

I have two very different, decorative, gilt mirrors, both of which have great aesthetic and sentimental value to me as they came from one set of grandparents each and were an important feature of their homes. Unfortunately, both mirrors were quite badly damaged during a recent house move and I really thought that the neo-classical mirror in particular was completely beyond repair as most of the delicate, decorative plasterwork had been shattered into numerous small pieces. William came to my house and made a careful assessment not only of the damage and the work that would be needed to restore the mirrors, but also gave me invaluable advice on where they could be mounted to best effect in the new house and how to ensure that they were fully repaired and restored without in any way losing their essential character or authenticity. I was delighted to receive the mirrors back within a short period of time looking even better than before they were damaged (but without in any way being “over-restored”) – and for the work to be completed exactly as estimated. William also carried out some restoration to another much-loved piece of furniture – a gilt-framed chaise longue – and that too has been returned to its former glory. I will certainly call on William Kirk for any future restoration projects and I have no hesitation in highly recommending his services. Maggie Alexander

I am incredibly thankful for the work William had done on my commode. I was impressed by his enthusiasm and knowledge, and I have not been disappointed. I bought it cheaply at auction because it was battered and neglected, and William had done a superb job, replacing a drawer, missing veneer, and handles, getting rid of woodworm, and bringing the old piece back to life. I have just installed it in my sitting room, and it looks pretty splendid. Charles Ward-Jackson

William Kirk is an excellent restorer. He is not only skilled in his chosen fields but listens to the clients wishes and delivers exactly what has been agreed. His easy charming manner allied to his undoubted professional abilities make doing business with him a pleasure. He has recently restored a very tired distressed Regency Sofa Table to its former glory and made me a very happy client.
He is very strongly recommended.
